Today has been chaotic, first I wake up late then I hit a deer on my way to town. I almost just didn't come to class today because of my car. Oh my gosh there is a bug on the wall right next to me! Gosh I am such a wussy. My boyfriend and I have been fighting a lot here lately. It’s the first boyfriend I've really had that I fight with and I don't like it. Sunday we fought about going fishing, he wanted to and all I wanted to do was go for a walk. He got his way because I gave in. I don’t know how to handle him when he is upset or angry and it bothers me. His whole point of view on what he wants to do is just chaotic. I think he may actually be insane, I don’t know.I am tired of school, its starting to really aggravate me. The look on Sarah's face when I showed her this bug was priceless. Oh gosh its getting closer to me!! I am hungry, a piece of cold pizza sounds amazing. That deer I hit this morning was pretty good sized, it put a massive dent in my car. My driver headlight is just shattered. I ended up taking it completely out. My hood wont even open on my car.

A Film Unfinished-Cheyenne Long

“A Film Unfinished” is about a German film crew that was hired to film the Warsaw Ghetto. They had decided to film the largest ghetto and show what they were like. There were more than 300,000 people into a mile and a half space. The amount of emotional and physical torture the Jews went through was tremendous. My heart aches for the people who had to endure the hatred of the Germans. The films were staged to ensure others that the camps were good not bad. There were corpses on the sidewalk; people had to ignore the suffering of others in order to live. The film crew staged a lot of what they filmed. One film maker says he saw a Jew picking up bodies and taking them to the cemetery. He saw forty to fifty bodies put into a shack, and then they were taken to this mass grave filled with layers of Jews. The bodies of the deceased look like twigs, just skin and bone. Warsaw was in very bad shape. The Jews had no clue what was to happen, exterminations were planned. The Jewish shootings lasted thirty days, many had died. People starved to death and many died from illness. The Germans were questioning what had happened to the Jews and that is where the film came from. It was a complete propaganda; they only filmed the good in the ghetto. At times the true treatment of the Jews was filmed but the plan was to edit those out. The Jews believed they were going to be sent out to a work facility.

Holocaust videos

Edith Coliver was born on July 26, 1922 in Karlsruhe, Baden found in Germany. At the time of the interview she was seventy seven years old and now lives in San Francisco. Her early childhood was very peaceful; she grew up in the middle class. She was asked when things changed in her elementary school, she said “There wasn’t a large change but things were starting to get different in 1937.” Most of her family was from Germany, dating back to nearly 300 years. They left Germany to go to America with her family in June of 1938; her father said the war was coming. There was a ten year wait for Visa’s “I felt myself very lucky to have gotten out when we did.” She went to George Washington high school after arriving in America. She worried about war while in school, thinking the war was coming soon. She went to Berkley for college; it was a safe haven to her. She enjoyed the company of many Germans that went to school with her, it was like home. Edith was involved in the trials against the German hierarchy that were just under Hitler. She saw all the Defendants at the trials. One that stuck out the most was the trial against Hess who was the number three man in German. She traveled to the camps after liberation and saw the pits of bodies that were killed. Edith went to Germany with curiosity not revenge for those who harmed the Jews. Many Germans knew about the concentration camps, the pits of bodies, the smoke for the camps and the smell gave away the locations of them. No one in America really knew how bad it was. What Edith saw and went through in the trials is heartbreaking and you can hear it in her voice in the testimony video. She felt bad for those in Germany that had to go through this horrible time.
Quotes:
“I felt myself very lucky to have gotten out when we did.”
“I was in a gang, an upscale gang.”

The second video I watched was the interview with Joseph Morton. Mr. Morton was born July 11, 1924 in Lodz, Poland. Joseph and his family grew up in a small apartment with six children. There were five sons and one daughter in his family, he was the oldest. The whole family all slept in one room in their apartment. Once Joseph started to hear of Hitler and understand what was going on he became very frightened. Eventually his family was taken to a ghetto, where his dad was made a policeman in the ghetto. Their beds were filled with lice and there was no nurture to anyone. The Jews had to wear yellow bracelets to identify themselves. Luckily the ghetto they were in was closed in 1944. In Germany in August of 1944 the Germans began to make orders and separate the people. Thankfully Joseph ended up with his father, one brother, and one male cousin on the same cattle wagon. Sadly, Joseph lost everyone except his father, brother and cousin. They were sent off as workers for railroads and airports and numerous other tough jobs. Too many people died at the camp they were at so they shut it down. Joseph was 20 years old when his camp was closed. He was separated to a group called the "sick Jews" because he got an illness. The “sick Jews” were those who were not expected to live their illness. An American army came and liberated them, he was too sick to remember the whole process, but in the end, he found his brother, father, and cousin, and they all went to a DP camp in Canada. They eventually made it back to the US. They were very lucky to survive this heartbreaking event. He describes his survival as luck, he was lucky to be where he was.
Quotes:
“It was a blessing I couldn’t eat when I was liberated because it probably would have killed me.”
“They would go as far as the Jewish area and stopped right there. If they went any further they would get punished.”
“The moment came when we got liberated, when the American Army came, I couldn’t see who was who because my eyes would not stay open.”

Why not to Plagiarize

Four reasons why plagiarism is important:
1.) Plagiarism is unethical: Its considered an act of stealing.
2.) Plagiarism means a lost learning opportunity: If we plagiarize instead of researching we lose the learnign aspect of it.
3.) Plagiarism diminishes your credibility: Let readers know where you located the information.
4.) Plagiarism may result in severe penalties: Violation of academic honesty and many penalties can be given.

Im sitting her listening to Sarah laugh about wearing a tank top to school. I am hungry, Mexican Villa sounds good. I wonder if the one here off National is any good, better yet i should probably save gas and stick around OTC for the day. I went without my phone for almost an hour today, it was updating. I can go longer than that its just i am trying to keep track of how my boyfriend is doing. He is going tot he doctor today about his eardrum. I am kind of concerned aobut what they have to say, he may have to get tubes put in. I am so hungry, thats all i can think about right now. Food, food, food, food oh and more food. This is too early for my brain to try and write almost a full page of random things. I am sitting here trying to ignore my growling stomach, it is about to eat me completely. I want a waffle, that sounds amazing, Oh! Chocolate chip waffle! Yummy! I've gone without a Dr. Pepper for almost three days now! I am doing good. It seems like I only drink a soda about every three to four days. Which is way better than before, it was about three to four a day.

Wow, I have been sick and taking care of family all weekend. I feel like i have missed so much school when in all reality i have only missed one day of classes. My head is pounding from all thats going through it at the moment. Migraines may be the death of me in the end. My stomach is growling and i havent had a soda or glass of tea in 4 days, i think i may go insane. Work is screwing me over a lot here lately. They ask me to open up my availability to work more hours so i do then they cut my hours back, what idiots. I have bills to pay and things to do, i cannot afford for them to cut my hours back like that. Ive picked up about 4 shifts other than the ones they gave me. They got a little pissy with me but then i explained the situation to my general manager and he understood. I could go for a nice double cheeseburger from sonic right about now. I think thats what i will do on my lunch break between 10 and 11:30. I have to go get my valentines present, its not last minute it just didnt get completed until now. Making a present is harder than it looks.
